Tierra Austral had an active August, engaging with partners in public studies, presenting at workshops, and preparing for upcoming events, with the goal of increasing public awareness of private conservation and fostering constructive dialogue among various stakeholders at the heart of their work. Here are some highlights:
- Tierra Austral contributed to the creation of a report entitled 'Effective Biodiversity Conservation: 30 Urgent Measures for 2030' by sharing lessons from conservation easements.
- Victoria Alonso, Executive Director of Fundación Tierra Austral, spoke about the 'Derecho Real de Conservación' an innovative legal tool that formalizes private land conservation in Chile and about initiatives conducted in the Boldo to Cantillana project at the 'Biodiversity and Sustainable Production Workshop'.
- Tierra Austral participated on a panel alongside leaders in private land conservation from Europe and Australia at the 'Land Trust Rally 2023' in Portland, Oregon.
