Resilient Reefs August Update

Resilient Reef's latest newsletter includes highlights such as:

• Addressing overfishing in Palau by creating a multispecies Fisheries Management Plan based on both traditional and modern knowledge. More information can be found in The Nature Conservancy's case study.
• Projects led by Belize's Resilience Strategy to accelerate blue carbon preparedness, adaptive management and capability for restoration, and fishing community diversification.
• Assisting New Caledonian reef managers by designing and delivering workshops and catalysing the formation of a "marine habitat" working group to unpack four reef management plans and begin to update them with a greater emphasis on climate forecast data.
• The creation of a comprehensive report analysing the elements that drive and prevent boat collisions to megafauna. There was also a workshop that outlined the practical stages of designing a behaviour change program.
